Comprehensive user safety
Motorola imposes a harsh testing regime on all new radios. The MTP850Ex has been fully tested for the demanding requirements for intrinsically safe radios in explosive gas and dust environments, as well as shock and water resistance. The MTP850Ex can be used in potentially explosive gas and dust environments due to its ATEX and IECEx certification – including gas zone 1 and 2, and dust zone 21 and 22. Operational safety is further enhanced with a range of features including:
• Emergency button.
• In-built GPS to ensure employees can be located quickly and help can be sent in an emergency.
• “Man down” alarm to automatically trigger an emergency procedure if the carrier of the radio falls down or remains motionless for a predefined period.
