The Motorola Solutions business has been and remains very active in the research and development of telecommunications technologies, investing over $1 billion annually.

Motorola Solutions' Proprietary Technology Licensing program includes a variety of intellectual property and hardware and software technologies:

  • Communications protocols that enable systems, products and accessories to work with Motorola Solutions products

  • Application development kits (ADKs) that permit licensees to develop and sell hardware applications for unique customer requirements

  • Software development kits (SDKs) that permit licensees to develop and sell software applications for unique customer requirements

Motorola Solutions' Proprietary Technology Licensing program makes Motorola Solutions' intellectual property available to prospective licensees on a case-by-case basis.
